Flag for a Blonde Nation. Pencil and colored pencil on paper. 9 by 6. 2002. From a painting by Roy Lichtenstein that was not a flag.

Quite a stylistic departure for me—all that raucous color! Wouldn't it be lovely to live in a sunny blond nation with pink flora and surrounded by a warm powder blue sea? I don't suppose everyone would think so. Not for sale because the colored pencil is not permanent.
