Girl with Flyaway Pearls. Pencil on Bristol. 5 ½ by 7 ½. 2007. Starting from a head-shot photo of my daughter, Elizabeth, who was not wearing pearls. The resemblance is pretty much gone and Elizabeth would never put up with flyaway pearls—nor a dotted line in her hair.
