The photograph accompanied an interview in the movie review section of the newspaper. But Giulietta did not have artichoke hair. I added it from my recollection of "La Strada." There was a line in that movie something like, ... why don't you get your hair done? You look like an artichoke ..., which I like to imagine was an actor's ad-lib that Fellini fell for because Giulietta really did look like an artichoke. I thought her artichoke 'do was cute.
